What is your Leadership Style?

That was our essential question for my Life Knowledge lesson that I taught at my cooperating center over Thanksgiving break. I think that the lesson went very well and had the students engaged for the majority of the lesson. It showed me how much the variety in instruction can help you in managing a classroom. Teaching that lesson gave me the confidence in myself that I will be able to do this once I get to student teaching in January. I think that I can apply this by making sure that I am prepared for each lesson so that I have as few mistakes as possible during my lessons.

Why do we do what we do?

Dr. Paul Theriot was a teacher from Louisiana that I had the pleasure of talking with while I was there. He said that he had came to NAAE this year because it was close to home and he had a student teacher that was going through the FAST program there. He believes that the best take away from NAAE is the networking that you get to experience while you are at a conference like this. David Ruvarac is a teacher from PA that taught at WB Saul in Philadelphia. He was injured in an accident at the school. He still attends NAAE because he hopes to get back in the classroom one day and does not want to miss out on the professional development that can be so helpful to us all. Even though he is not currently in a classroom, he is still active in the professional organizations because he sees the benefit in them. Kayla Pohle was extremely helpful to talk with.
